OZ Naturals 5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum!

5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum -Another fabulous beauty find, OZ’s Hyaluronic Serum acts to plump up and hydrate your skin while stimulating collagen in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines. Again, something I need in abundance.   First you put on the serum and allow it to dry before putting your moisturizer on top of it.

Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C serum that deeply hydrates and plumps the skin to reduce wrinkles. In addition to the Hyaluronic acid (a super hydrating naturally occurring acid botanically derived from Cassia Angustifolia seed) and Vitamin C, it contains nourishing ingredients like aloe, green tea and Vitamin E to repair and soften skin cells. After the 20% Vitamin C serum has dried, apply dabs of product to the driest, wrinkle-prone areas of your face (like the forehead or around the mouth). This serum smells amazing because it’s scented with geranium essential oil. It also has a distinctly aloe-y consistency when spread on the face; very light and yet slightly viscous or sticky. That sticky sensation dissipates after a minute or two of drying.

The serum is a lovely consistency; liquidity enough that it's easy to apply and move around your face but gel enough that it doesn't run all over the place before you've had a chance to apply it. It has a very slight scent, but it's really pleasant; I detect rose which is a smell I'm always happy to have in my beauty products but I know there are just as many people who hate the smell as there are that love it. You have to work with it very quickly because as soon as it comes into contact with your skin it sinks in, something that I love about it, it makes my skin care routine very fast.

Firstly I cleanse and tone my face as usual, then I apply the serum. As soon as it's been applied there is no residue on the skin at all, within a couple of seconds it's completely disappeared and you're ready for your moisturiser. I use this all over my face, even up to my lash line on my eyes, and it doesn't sting or affect my sensitive eyes in any way, it even helps my eye cream to not effect them, something I really wasn't expecting.


Oz Naturals claim that the serum:

Diminishes surface lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen


There isn't one point there that I can disagree with. Now about the serum: in the past I have used products containing hyaluronic acid, but apart from how much active ingredient is actually in the bottle, it seems that the synergy with other components is crucial. This serum is packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper to facilitate precise application. The contents are 1 fluid ounce or 30 ml, which is pretty standard, but you need very little to cover your whole face and neck, making this product really good value for money. It looks like it can easily last a couple of months.  With gentle massage, the almost clear gel sinks in easily and dries quickly. You then apply your favourite cream or oil on top, which now has a much better chance to penetrate and actually do some of the wonderful things promised on the box. A serum is a carrier, so it is very important to choose an effective moisturiser or nourishing cream to apply afterwards.

PhantomFit Resistance Loop Bands are durable latex bands that work to strengthen muscles through resistance training. They come in a set of Light, Medium, Heavy, and X-Heavy colored bands in a nice little nylon storage pouch.

These loop bands work for everything from physical therapy exercises to intense resistance training.They are great for squats, lunges, arm and leg workouts, and stretching exercises. I did have to do some online searching to find some ideas on what workouts to use these for, and my favorite one was the side-to-side exercise. Boy, does it really work your hip and thigh muscles! I also enjoy using these bands for arm stretching and toning.

The Light and Medium bands are enough for me at this time, and I can't imagine even being able to use X-Heavy! But it's nice to have all the different resistance levels in this set. They are snap-resistant and heavy-duty, plus they're lightweight and easy to throw in your gym bag.

My only recommendation is to include maybe a card or booklet with some examples of different exercises that can be done with these bands. However, PhantomFit does include a free download of some great workout music with your purchase, so that is a nice bonus.

1.39 for a Candy Bar is not too bad of a price.  The flavor of the bars are so different and new to me.  When you first bite into it and get the taste of the first flavor it is sweet almost right away. I noticed the mocha over the almond and dark chocolate.  The sea salt kicks in slightly after you have been chewing for a while.   Of course if you or your kids have a nut allergy do not purchase this.  There is a slight after taste but they are really good.  I would have liked to be able to try more of the flavors or even have had the opportunity to be sent enough for my whole family to at least enjoy one bar a piece but that is neither here nor there in importance to this review.

Review: My hair is about as straight as can be so I was hoping that the Surf Spray would help be achieve some volume to my hair. I was quite happy with the natural windblown look I was able to achieve with Surf Spray - it is a great summer look! It smells really fresh and did not make my hair feel heavy or greasy. Overall, I was very happy with the product and look forward to continuing to use it through the summer! Just a few spritzes out of the shower and I'm off on my way. Even on the second day my hair still feels good. I'm sure if you have naturally wavy hair or hair with a little more volume you could do really amazing things with this stuff.

How To Stay Gym Fit Without A Gym Membership

If the global recession is affecting you and you’re trying to cut costs then finding ways to stay fit without going to the gym might help. Regularly going to the gym can cost quite a bit of money and might be one of your single biggest monthly expenses.

While you may not want to stop going to the gym forever, one temporary cost-cutting measure is to try and keep fit from home. Here are a few exercise ideas and tips on how to give your home workout program a running start!

Cycling: If you’ve got a bike then it’s pretty easy to keep fit – just head out for a ride! If you usually use an exercise bike at the gym then this is a great alternative, and can be much more fun too. It’s also possible to use makeshift equipment in place of the “real” thing. For example, you don’t actually need dumbbells to do weights. All you need are heavy objects that are easy to lift. For light aerobic training you can just use food tins like baked beans. For heavier weights, try using large bottles of mineral water. Both are just as good as real weights but cost nothing extra than your shopping bill!

Tip 1: If the gym forms a central part of your social life, then stopping your regular gym attendance might not seem like much of an option. But it is possible to get your gym buddies to come and train with you from home, so don’t rule it out altogether.

Tip 2: Staying motivated during home workouts is one of the toughest things. However, there are loads of ways to keep your motivation up. One of the best ways is to find buddies to work out with from home – go for a run with your gym pals or get a friend over for a yoga session.

Another great way to stay motivated is to reward yourself for every workout (as though your own personal fitness and wellbeing wasn’t enough of a reward!). You can do this with food (careful not to undo all your hard work with this one though) or with small gifts.

Exercising from home also means that, if you’ve got music or a TV on hand, it’s your choice what to watch or listen to as you exercise. Together, these things should be able to keep you motivated and maintain your fitness even without heading to the gym regularly. Just remember not to let yourself start slipping!
