Coupons For Troops

Did you know that the military over seas can use expired coupons for up to six months after they expire.  Instead of throwing away those unused/expired coupons why not just keep them and send them to the military to use.  My family has adopted a family that is stationed in England and a Base located in Germany  to send all of our coupons that we do not use or that are donated to use to send every month.  We also send coffee and snack food coupons to Operation quiet comfort who uses them to send in boxes that they send( But I will post more about them in another post).

If you are going to send them in a box to a base the best way to do that is to take and separate your coupons into two groups non-food and food and place them in to zip lock baggies and place inside the boxes labeled the bags that way it is easier for them to go throw when they arrive and don't have to spend time separating them into the groups.  Also this way it keeps them from running loose in the box during shipment .  Please Do not send Restaurant and Store Coupons .  I have some different address where you can send coupons to and I will share them with anyone who would like them or you can send them to me and I will mail them to all of the different programs that my family sends them to .  If you want the address just contact me or leave a comment and I will get them to you.  If you want to adopot a family I will give you that contact information also.

To adopt a Base you can go over to www.ocpnet.org and see if you can find a base that you would like to help and also here is a tip for you when choosing a base to send to.  Remember when you send coupons or anything overseas you want to look for APO AE and FPO AE if you live on the east coast and APO AP and FPO AP If you live on the west coast as you are only paying for postage for it to be sent to the military post office on the east and west coast .
