OZ Naturals 5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum!

5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum -Another fabulous beauty find, OZ’s Hyaluronic Serum acts to plump up and hydrate your skin while stimulating collagen in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines. Again, something I need in abundance.   First you put on the serum and allow it to dry before putting your moisturizer on top of it.

Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C serum that deeply hydrates and plumps the skin to reduce wrinkles. In addition to the Hyaluronic acid (a super hydrating naturally occurring acid botanically derived from Cassia Angustifolia seed) and Vitamin C, it contains nourishing ingredients like aloe, green tea and Vitamin E to repair and soften skin cells. After the 20% Vitamin C serum has dried, apply dabs of product to the driest, wrinkle-prone areas of your face (like the forehead or around the mouth). This serum smells amazing because it’s scented with geranium essential oil. It also has a distinctly aloe-y consistency when spread on the face; very light and yet slightly viscous or sticky. That sticky sensation dissipates after a minute or two of drying.

The serum is a lovely consistency; liquidity enough that it's easy to apply and move around your face but gel enough that it doesn't run all over the place before you've had a chance to apply it. It has a very slight scent, but it's really pleasant; I detect rose which is a smell I'm always happy to have in my beauty products but I know there are just as many people who hate the smell as there are that love it. You have to work with it very quickly because as soon as it comes into contact with your skin it sinks in, something that I love about it, it makes my skin care routine very fast.

Firstly I cleanse and tone my face as usual, then I apply the serum. As soon as it's been applied there is no residue on the skin at all, within a couple of seconds it's completely disappeared and you're ready for your moisturiser. I use this all over my face, even up to my lash line on my eyes, and it doesn't sting or affect my sensitive eyes in any way, it even helps my eye cream to not effect them, something I really wasn't expecting.

Oz Naturals claim that the serum:
Plumps and hydrated dry, dull skin
Assists in balancing skin moisture levels
Diminishes surface lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen

There isn't one point there that I can disagree with. Now about the serum: in the past I have used products containing hyaluronic acid, but apart from how much active ingredient is actually in the bottle, it seems that the synergy with other components is crucial. This serum is packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper to facilitate precise application. The contents are 1 fluid ounce or 30 ml, which is pretty standard, but you need very little to cover your whole face and neck, making this product really good value for money. It looks like it can easily last a couple of months.  With gentle massage, the almost clear gel sinks in easily and dries quickly. You then apply your favourite cream or oil on top, which now has a much better chance to penetrate and actually do some of the wonderful things promised on the box. A serum is a carrier, so it is very important to choose an effective moisturiser or nourishing cream to apply afterwards.

Have you tried this serum, or anything else from Oz Naturals? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.  Check out the link to get your own.  here on Amazon.

I was sent a sample of OZ Natural’s Professional Moisturizing Serum for this review, no compensation was given and all opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links, thanks for supporting this site!

Excerpt 1 (670 words)
“Good morning!” a sing-songy voice called from Ben’s front door.
Ben stood in the middle of his kitchen, sipping coffee and attempting to unglue his eyelids.
Reese strode into the room, her presence kicking his brain into gear better than a whole pot of coffee.
She wore a white tank, yoga pants that clung to the curve of her ass, and a smile way too sunny for a Monday morning.

Not for the first time, Ben imagined she wasn’t joining him fresh from her car but that she was joining him from his bed. She wouldn’t be wearing workout clothes but maybe one of his old t-shirts. She’d pad toward him in bare feet, cotton brushing the tops of her thighs, and she’d wrap her arms around his neck with the smile of a recently satisfied woman. He would slide his hands under her shirt and cup an ass cheek in each hand as he put his mouth on hers. Then they’d get a whole different kind of workout.

A dangerous fantasy. In the real world, Reese smacked a kiss to his cheek like she was greeting her little brother. To add insult to injury, she stole his mug out of his hands and took a gulp of his coffee. The soft moan of pleasure that escaped her lips played all too well into the images flashing through his mind. So did the way she closed her eyes and tilted her head back, pleasure running across her face.

Jesus. Ben tried to get a handle on himself, but, hell, he was only human, and Reese enjoyed a sip of coffee in a way that made a man think of slow, sweaty, thorough sex.
How was he supposed to avoid imagining the expression on her face as he teased her breasts? What sounds would she make when he ran his tongue across a hardened nipple? And when he ran his mouth down her stomach and tasted her between her legs, what sounds would she make then? Would she quietly open her legs for him? Or would she cry out in pleasure, tug on his hair?
She cocked her head, studying him but not seeing him. Reese saw a friend when she looked at him, not a man. And maybe for a while he’d only seen a friend when he’d looked at her. That was all he’d let himself see. But at some point he’d let his guard down, and now when he looked at Reese he didn’t just see. He wanted.

“Have a lot on your mind this morning?” she asked.
He nodded slowly, let his fingers brush over hers as he took his mug back. “You could say that.” He slugged back the rest of his coffee and headed toward the basement without preamble. Reese followed, humming softly under her breath, a sound low enough to slingshot his mind straight back to his fantasy, to the idea of her body under his hands. His mouth.

“Hey, grumpy,” she said when they reached the bottom of the stairs. She tugged on his shoulder until he turned to face her. “Anything I can do to improve your mood this morning?”
“I can think of a few things.” He couldn’t help himself. He let his gaze travel slowly down her body, lingering at her curves. His gaze traveled so slowly back to her face, he had enough time to picture every inch of her bare, exposed, ready for him. It was an image that was half fantasy and half memory.

When he returned his eyes to her face, a deep red blush stained her cheeks. “Ben!” She landed a soft punch to his solar plexus.
Ben lifted a shoulder in a half shrug. “You asked.”
“When was the last time you got laid?”
He knew down to the day, but he wasn’t about to share the truth with Reese—not when the date was just as significant in her life. “A few months.”
“Well, you need to do something about that.”
“You volunteering?”

Excerpt 2 (396 words)

“I’m going to let Mark take me out.”
His jaw ticked. “Don’t be stupid, Reese.”
“Wha—”

He cut her off with his mouth. He cupped her face in his big palm and brushed his lips across hers. He was warm and gentle.

And from the first brush of his lips, she wanted more.
Maybe tomorrow she’d blame the tequila or maybe she’d blame the lingerie shopping or the dirty stories she’d been logging into her notebook. Maybe she’d blame their tragic beginnings and her endless months of waiting for him to want her, but right now she didn’t even need an excuse. She moaned against him, loving the feel of his mouth, the light scratch of his scruff. Ben was so painfully male. A hot and delicious, long-denied craving.

Ben slanted his mouth over hers and slipped his tongue inside. He tasted like beer. Like male. Like something wicked and addictive. He wasn’t one of those rushed and sloppy kissers. He kissed like it was making love. Like he had all the time in the world. Like his most important task was kissing her. It was a kiss she’d known once and had never forgotten.

He slid his hands under her jaw and into her hair.
Reese grabbed a fistful of his shirt in her hand and pulled him closer, thinking of his eyes on her in the dressing room, thinking of the only other night they’d kissed.
He slid a hand behind her ass and lifted her, pressing her between the wall and his body and nestling his hard-on right between her legs. She gave a moan of approval and rubbed her tongue against his, exploring his mouth for all she was worth. She reached around his neck and slipped her fingers into his hair, tugging
gently. Groaning, he pressed himself even closer to her. She cursed the day denim was invented. She wanted closer, closer even as part of her brain told her this was a mistake, told her to end this before they ruined everything.

He tore his mouth from hers and latched onto her neck. Sucking, nibbling, tasting until her eyes closed and she arched into him.
His teeth grazed the shell of her ear. His breath was hot as he whispered, “I’ll be damned if I’m going to let my brother help you with the best parts of this program.”

Excerpt 3 (429 words)

With a forced smile, Reese withdrew an envelope from her purse and handed it to Ben. “Apparently, Sex Goddess equals dirty.”
“Is this your next step?” He stifled a grin. “Please tell me she’s making you burn your bras.” He signaled to the door with his thumb. “I think I have some lighter fluid at the house.”
“What? Of course she’s not.” She scowled. “I hope not.”
Ben’s eyes dropped south for a second. “You know, bras are a sign of repression. Liberate the breasts and liberate the woman.”

She rolled her eyes. “Stop being a dork and read the letter.”
Ben frowned. “You’re taking this program more seriously than I thought you would.”
“No, I’ve just gotten really good at faking it.”

“The new outfit doesn’t look fake. Or the makeup.”
Balls clacked at the pool table behind them and the Bears game played on the big screen.
“So, I like looking sexy. Women like to be wanted, Ben. It comes standard with the estrogen.”
“And men didn’t want you before you started taking Halie’s Holy Steps?”

“Most of which I’m faking,” she reminded him. She waved a hand dismissively. “Just read it.”
“The phone sex didn’t seem fake,” he said softly. Neither had her hand in his or the way she’d squeezed his hand when Sydney played her solo.

A red tinge crept up her cheeks. Satisfied, Ben turned to the letter.

Say goodbye to your panties. For the next week, you’ll be going commando, forcing your mind to acknowledge the parts of your body too often left as an afterthought.

He grunted. “No wonder my guys want their wives to sign up.”
“Spoken like a true male. Foregoing underwear isn’t sexy, it’s unsanitary.”
He shook his head. “It’s sexy.”
“What if I’m doing yard work?”
“Sexy.”
She crossed her arms and her cheeks flushed. “Or I’m working out?”
“Still sexy.”

Reese leaned forward. “Or I want to wear a skirt?”
Ben narrowed his eyes. “Now you’re just tormenting me.”
She shook her head. “I don’t need to go commando to acknowledge my female parts.”
Leaning back in his chair, Ben folded his arms across his chest and studied her. Why was she taking this program so seriously? The kiss? The phone sex? He
wasn’t complaining, but couldn’t she have just as easily fabricated a story for Halie?
They were the questions that were starting to niggle at him. Despite what Reese said, this was about more than a job.
He handed back the letter and only let himself ask one question. “So, when do the panties come off?

-Contributes to healthy cognitive function
-Enhances cognitive performance by improving working memory and supporting attention
-Vegan, Gluten-free, Wild-crafted herbs, Non-GMO

Naturally  I want to fulfill my obligation to review this product but at the same time I don't feel like that just 2 weeks is enough time to say that my memory has improved.  I don't think it would be fair for me to say that with no uncertainty so I can only tell you that I will continue another 2 weeks and maybe I'll see a change then. I think this would be helpful in the end.
The ingredients are vegan and I know that is important to some people especially if you are vegan. I have heard good things regarding Ginseng, Ginko, Polygala and Tumeric on their own. But together they have properties to improve memory and cognitive function.

If you want to learn more or find out where to get some for yourself then here it is.
The supplement comes in a plastic bottle containing 30 capsules. It is good for vegetarians and does not contain soy, salt, yeast, milk and egg products, sugar, artificial flavours, no colors or added preservatives too.

KIND Nuts & Spices - NEW Flavors! Review.

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

KIND has added Caramel Almond & Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond to its KIND Nuts & Spices line of bars. These seemingly indulgent flavors expand the line to include eight flavors containing only 5g of sugar (or less) - and nothing artificial.

KIND's newest flavors are further proof that you can naturally lower the sugar in a snack while still maintaining a sweet and indulgent taste. Each bar is also crafted from a foundation of whole almonds which recent studies have shown have life-extending properties.

Caramel Almond & Sea Salt is made with a seemingly indulgent blend of savory sea-salt and sweet caramel drizzled over crunchy almonds. This bar is a delightfully low-sugar healthy snack that only tastes like dessert.

Another thing I love- though these bars have only 5g of sugar, I felt like I’d just had a wonderful treat. Plus they’re extremely filling- a great way to battle those late afternoon cravings.

I’m excited now to look for the other flavors in the line!

Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond is made with dark roast coffee and whole almonds blended with honey and drizzled in dark chocolate to form a bar that, with just 5g of sugar, only tastes indulgent.

1.39 for a Candy Bar is not too bad of a price.  The flavor of the bars are so different and new to me.  When you first bite into it and get the taste of the first flavor it is sweet almost right away. I noticed the mocha over the almond and dark chocolate.  The sea salt kicks in slightly after you have been chewing for a while.   Of course if you or your kids have a nut allergy do not purchase this.  There is a slight after taste but they are really good.  I would have liked to be able to try more of the flavors or even have had the opportunity to be sent enough for my whole family to at least enjoy one bar a piece but that is neither here nor there in importance to this review.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Noah Zarc: Mammoth Trouble Blog Tour

Another theme that really caught my attention is that none of those novels are Science Fiction, they all reside squarely in the realm of fantasy. Being a Science Fiction author myself I was intrigued to see how the aforementioned concepts of time travel and living in space are presented to readers who may not be well versed in paradoxical plot lines. If that last sentence has you shaking your head a little, you understand what I mean.

The Antagonist had at that point had been presented as evil for the sake of evil. That's not a problem of course, as a story of this nature (written in the first person) is all about simultaneous discovery ( the character finds things out at the same time as the reader, there is no discrepancy between the two ). If the character knows everything up front, it would almost preclude any chance of tension and make for an extremely boring read.

Of course, the Antagonist ( Haon) is not without motive, which we discover near the end of the novel. There are characters introduced at points that would appear superfluous until you remember that this is the first novel in an ongoing series, and there is a character that at times seems to grasp complicated concepts a little too easily, but other than that the storyline is tight, the tension palpable, and the consequences realistic.

And that last note, the bit about the consequences in this novel being realistic, is where I think this novel really shines. Stories targeting the younger demographics are expected to convey morals, or lessons. One reason why I don't write to that demographic is because I've found it very difficult to teach morals and lessons through a world that seems to be devoid of such morals. The bad guys often win, the good guys are severely handicapped by their virtue, and no one gets out unscathed.

Your first indication of this is that Noah is a paraplegic, which means that he has use of his hands but not use of his legs. He doesn't dwell on it, and instead uses it much the same way that any kid his age would, an excuse to get out of doing things he doesn't want to do and as an excuse to test out new gadgets meant to make his life easier.

You get the sense that he has been overcoming this physical deficiency for so long that the only reason it is mentioned at all is to give a reason why he is riding around in a magnetically levitated chair instead of walking. It both keeps us from feeling sorry for Noah and gives us an insight as to why he feels he can overcome any obstacle, because he's been doing it since birth. This, along with other parts of the novel, show that it is possible to show us a "real" world, meaning one with problems more complicated than who forgot to return a borrowed toy, and also target this age group.

Somewhere along the way, I had gotten it into my head that in order to write good children's literature, I had to tie up almost every loose end in order to make the "happily ever after" stick upon conclusion. I couldn't see how meaningful lessons about life could be taught without showing how the consequences of major missteps, i.e.-death, are involved. Obviously, death is a touchy subject among the parents of youth readership.

I lacked the insight as to best go about this, but I realized that there are other ways to teach about loss and consequence than having beloved characters die horrific deaths on the page, as D. masterfully handles this as the novel draws to a close. The novel still pulls a punch or two, but never have I seen a novel directed at this demographic so adept at handling heady concepts such as these.

Noah Zarc: Mammoth Trouble is a great start to what I can see becoming a landmark young science fiction series. I was entertained during my adventures through time, brought home to a satisfyingly realistic conclusion, and even learned a thing or two about the craft of writing along the way. I am rating Noah Zarc: Mammoth Trouble 25/25,

GG and Mamela Blog Tour & Review

This is a WONDERFUL story for families who are grappling with loss, death and dying. This is a wonderful story about a special relationship between a girl and her great grandmother at the end of her beautiful life. Very moving story, perfect for children!!
The first thing that caught my eye in this book is the very first picture - it made me SMILE. And why you might ask? Because I realized it was a girl with her grandma (great grandma for this book) but they were sitting at a table having a tea party. I am 38 years old and lost my grandma who was like a second mother to me in 2001 so i know how much grandmothers should be treasured for everything they are worth :) mamelas relationship with her grandmother is basically the substance of the book, and the watercolor pictures are absolutely breathtaking! I really enjoyed the way mamela and her "GG" went places together and had fun, and the way they told others their relationship "I am mamela and this is my GG" :) I have a seven year old daughter who is a lot like mamela and she is just as close to my mother as I was to my grandmother. unfortunately as we read on we realize that the book itself is about a little girl dealing with the difficult fact that her grandmother is dying :( And I cried. When mamela offers to make her GG the soup they had made together it was heartbreaking. But this book is awesome for kids because it really does help teach them how to deal with loss and realize that even though they may have lost a loved one that loved one will always be with them no matter what BECAUSE of the love that exists between them. Check out the Book Tour Here and Enter the Giveaway.  Enjoy

The first thing I noticed with this product is the smell because it is amazing like orange-citrus and Then the color is bold and pretty. It goes on a little cool and smooth and dries really well after about a minute or so depending on the amount used and the time spent rubbing it in. I used the dropper to administer to my skin. Only one drop was needed and I am highly impressed with the overall effect. If you are looking for a New Skin Care I would recommend you check this one out and give it a try.  You can find Valentia Skin Care Here.
