Sam’s Club is offering FREE women’s health and vision screenings Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy, open to members and non-members alike.
Sam’s Club locations nationwide are giving away more than 25,000 breast self-exam kits during the free health screenings. The kits include educational literature about breast self-exams and an easy-to-use take-home gel-filled pad to help women better detect changes in breast tissue, such as a lump, that might require a follow-up exam by a physician.
Along with the free take-home kits for women, the screening program includes free in-Club tests for both men and women valued at up to $150, to include:
Thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) screenings to test for potential women’s health issues due to issues with thyroid functionality
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings to test for signs of prostate cancer in men
Blood pressure
Body mass index (BMI)
Total cholesterol
High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol
Glucose
Vision testing/screening
