Soft Soap Juicy Pomegranate & Mango Infusions Review

The Softsoap bar soap line  (launched August 2011) - Locks in moisture and was specially created to excite your senses. The line will be available in three delicious fragrances- Juicy Pomegranate & Mango Infusions, Coconut Scrub and Sweet Honeysuckle & Orange Peel. I was pleasantly surprised, when I opened the box, to find that this soap is actually pink! For some reason, I had assumed that this was going to be a red glycerin soap. Also, it's got tiny bits of, I'm guessing pomegranate, in the soap itself.  As for the fragrance, it is similar to the body wash but, due to it being a bar soap, it is a bit different. I can detect the "bar soap base" in this product, but combined with the fragrance of pomegrante and mango, I find it very pleasing. It has a hint of "clean" to it that the body wash does not possess.

The fragrance is strong, but not knock-your-socks-off strong. I had the box sitting on my desk, opened, for a few days before I used it, and I loved that my entire desk area smelled of pomegrante and mango.his soap provides me with a nice, rich, creamy lather (as opposed to a thinner, more airy lather). My favorite way to use bar soap is to rub it into my (wet) bath pouf until I get a nice lather going. I find that I can cleanse my entire body with the lather this soap provides without having to "re-suds" my bath pouf.

My skin is left with a squeaky-clean feel after using this soap, but I don't find it excessively drying. I don't think I could skip my usual dose of body lotion after using this soap, but I don't find that I need more body lotion than usual after I use this product.Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate and Mango Infusions is another addition to the Softsoap line that is manufactured by the Colgate-Palmolive Company. I certainly must say that the soap bars packaging caught my eye. It is wrapped in a reddish tone package with pictures of a juicy pomegranate and mango bathed in dewey droplets of water. The soap bar has a curved shape and a rosy pinkish tone. The soap's perfumed and slightly powdery aroma smacks you right in the nose when you open the package. According to the manufacturer, the bar of soap is enriched with natural pomegranate extracts which is a fruit that is packed with antioxidants. As most might know, antioxidants like Vitamin E and Beta Carotene fight free radical damage to the body. This slows down oxidation and the aging process. Consequently, the soap should nourish the skin while keeping the skin looking youthful and fresh.

The picture of the pomegranate and mango are certainly eye catching and convinced me to purchase the soap. Now, I was a bit confused by the aroma. I certainly do not think that pomegranates or mango's smell like flowers or perfume. Don't get me wrong, I certainly like the idea that a soap contains natural extracts along with Antioxidants, but it would have been a welcomed addition if the Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate and Mango Infusions soap bar actually had a slightly mango or pomegranate aroma. I was very impressed with the amount of lather produced by the natural soap bar. The cleansing power of the bar of soap is top level. It washed away the grime on my hands and face leaving my skin feeling smooth, fresh, and very clean. This is exactly what you look for in a bar of soap. Once again, one negative is that the soap is too perfume like for my taste. I would have welcomed a subtle natural mango or pomegranate aroma. Well, on the positive side the Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate and Mango Infusions Soap Bar does clean the skin well and is perfect for those who are looking for a very affordable natural bar of soap to add to their body cleansing and body care routine.
